Can someone identify what is on rock?

I'm starting a new tank after being out of the hobby for several years. I bought some live rock from TBS to put in the tank. All I have right now is the base rock and live sand. Can someone tell me what is on this rock?

Now that is really cool. Hopefully they'll hatch and you'll be able to keep them. That would be truly awesome!

Wow! In all my years I have never seen Conch Eggs! You, my friend, scored BIG TIME. Did they hatch?

While they may be harmless Conch eggs, a predatory Whelk is another possibility too though. Like mentioned above definitely do some research first before you let these things just run wild. The link below might help.

So you have a sump you could stick that rock in until they hatch in case they are whelks?

If I had to pick one, I would go with the conch eggs. The Whelk eggs look different. A four inch conch popped out of the live sand when I was setting up the tank. I'm still waiting for part two of my TBS rock.
