Can u add a purple dotty back with a royal gramma

Hi in my 65gal reef I really would like a cheap all purple fish so I was thinking about getting a purpoendottyback but I was wondering if it would be a big deal if I added him with my 1.4in royal gramma

In a much bigger tank, it might work, but, a 65 I think will not. They are too similar in color and shape and both are territorial. Even if intially they seem to get along, the dottyback will likely progressively more intolerant and you will lose the gramma.

I agree, the gramma would probably be killed.
