I currently have a black sun coral with many branches on a piece of live rock. I am planning on purchasing an orange sun coral. Can I set the orange sun coral among the black sun coral's branches on its piece of live rock or will the two not "get along"?

Give him a break Kristen....yeah that would be fine Grimm they won't "fight"

She doesnt have to give nobody a break. Its the WRONG forum.

blah blah....alot of people actually consider them SPS though I may tend to disagree its not a big deal...if you know the answer might as well help a fellow reefer out(albeit a little ball busting is all in good fun!!)

you can keep em together....i would give them a little space for growth although.....enrich their foods!!!!(you already know this though)

I think that will be fine but check the LPS Forum to make sure.

This wasn't ball busting! Nor did I post the suggestion of another forum to shoo them out of the SPS Forum. Look again........

I "THINK" that will be fine "BUT" check the LPS Forum "TO MAKE SURE"

Sun Corals will not sting other corals.
That is not true. I had an acro frag fall into a colony of Tubastraea during the night. By morning they had stung the hell out of each other. Both have recovered now, but they do sting.

For a Tubastraea to do damage, you need more than just contact with the tentacles, you need to be close enough for the Tubastraea to spill its digestive tracks onto you.

I think one of the main issue you will have in the long run would be the two different species growing onto each other. Polyps within the same colony tend to self-limit when it begins to get crowded.
