I've had my fish in QT using Seachem cupramine @ 0.5 ppm for about 4 weeks now, none show any signs of flashing; or any other maladies; RE they appear to no longer have cryptocaryon irritans. In any event, I have an Auriga Butterflyfish (see attached photos) that has some spots that look like ich; and has looked like that since the day I bought him. The fellow at the LFS says it's Lymphocystis, some say it's not harmful or contagious, and will drop off after some time. Others say Lymphocystis is highly infectious, & when infected cells from the fish skin or fins burst the virus is spread throughout the aquarium and can remain contagious for periods of up to two months. Also that fish not showing symptoms should be removed from the aquarium and placed in quarantine, away from other fish, for at least 60 days. My question is: what do you think this is, & what would you suggest for treatment (if any)? Thanks in advance.

PS
Sorry about the pics, the QT tank isn't immaculate. The butterfly has a number of spots like this on his dorsal fin too, but I wasn't able to get any good shots of it.
