Hello everyone,
I have some strange white worms coming out of my live rock. I noticed quite a bit of them today, since I have added some things to my tank. They almost look like Spaghetti worms, but when they retract and move back into their holes, they have barbel looking mouths. Some of them are very thin white I have 2 thick one's. There is also a striped one as well. It is brown and a lighter color. I have tried to capture them the best I could, but my camera isn't fast enough when I go to snap the digital picture. Here are the best one's I could get thus far...

This first picture is of one by my Red Banded Trochus

Second picture is one right above this algae to the bottom of the picture. It is in the crevice towards the right of the picture.

This one is the striped looking worm. It was moving debris around it's hole. It is right below the large spot of coralline. At least it looks large in the picture.

I'd really like to know what they are because the barbel looking mouths at the end of them concern me a little. They have a rounded mouth with bristle looking mouths/or barbels when they retract into their holes. It's very strange. I would
like to add some more corals to my tank, but I'd like to ID these first. Thank you.

The photos really do not provide any details that I could go on, but will hazard a guess as to the barbel mouths and say maybe a
Sipunculida worm? You may also try going through my hitch hiker pages checking the worms first if you wish.

That is what I thought the striped one looked like as well. If you look down a little ways to the Terebellidae, it also looks like that small picture to the right on the top row. It says outreached feeding tentacle. Those are what the smaller one's look like. I just wanted to be sure before adding anything else to my tank. I'd appreciate everyone's thoughts. I'll try to get some more pictures.

Okay here is another picture of one stretched out trying to feed on something.

Now here is either a bristleworm or a fireworm. He's in a cup right now because I am not sure if he's reef safe yet. The exact ID on him as there is a detrimental
fireworm out there. Just want to make sure. Do any of you know?

So can anyone possibly id these both? Thank you.

The bottom one is a bristleworm. Good guy. They help keep the tank clean and eat any leftovers.
The top one will be hard to ID unless you get a macro shot of it with your camera, i.e. really really close. If I had to guess just a harmless hitch hiker worm that came on the rock. There are probably over a dozen different kinds of worms just in my 20g I have now. So unless you see it go after a snail or eating coral I wouldn't worry. If you can see tiny little black dots on its head those are eyes which would mean that the worms is predatory.
