Can you refreeze a clam after using it?

I bought a live clam for my CBB, ripped off the top shell, and put it in with him. He hasn't touched it yet, so its still good for a few more hours. When I take it out, do I have to throw it out, or can i refreeze it?

throw it out. It's never a good idea to refreeze food (for you or the tank) that has been frozen and then thawed.
