LOL, as like my fav wrester use to say, sorta
Anyways now I got your attention,
After being a follower and disciple of the DSB technique, my tank 55g crashed while it was under the care of my other half while I was away. This was not however caused by the DSB but due to a temp spike and a kalk overdose due to faulty timers on the same day! Who would know that 2 timers on different circuits would go bad at the same time!, it was a sign, a sign for better things to come, it was divine intervention.
The wife felt so guilty, surprisingly she was more distraught than I was, that she said, "Dave, if there is anything that I can do to make this up, please let me know!" At that moment, I thought to myself, "Dave, it is time to go bigger and better! It is time to get everything you always wanted! This might be your only oppurtunity to do so, DON'T PASS IT UP!
So I said to the wife, "Wife, do not worry yourself, there is no need to shed those tears of guilt. We will build a bigger and better system together. We will build one that is easier to care for, even for you. I will take you as my padiwan, and you will see the world of reef-keeping in a different light. And through my guidance, you will be a reef-keeper like me!"
Due to space constraints in our home, we decided to get a 120g tall RR tank. Now for the important decision, what technique should I teach my padiwan, SSB, DSB, CC or BB? So after a lot of searching, I decided that BB would be the best technique, and turned to the teachings of Sensei Bomber, Sensei SeanT, and Sensei Weatherman, and begin the rigorous training of rock cooking.
So I showed the proper technique of rock cooking to my padiwan as follows:
Grab rock, dunk, swish, switch, dunk, swish, switch, then a final dunk, swish.
My padiwan ask me, "what is this training for?"
I told her, "It's to increase our defense against the enemy phosphate by removing all the negative energy within the rock!, In addition, you will get strong arms too!"
So for 3 weeks now, and 5 training sessions later. We could swear that we have rid all the negative energy within the rock after each session, but we were always surprised how much come out of it on the following session. Like my padiwan said, "Master, I can't believe how much negative energy is stored in these rocks, when will all of it come out?"
And I said, "patience my young padiwan, soon the day will come, but for now, you need to step it up from 3 to 5 dunk and swish technique."
As I type this, my padiwan is doing her 6th training session, and there is still a lot of negative energy coming out of the rock. As soon as she finish her training, I would rename her Jedi Starboard, LOL
Anyways, on a serious note, I'am now an advocate for rock cooking, after seeing all that junk coming out of the rock, it makes no sense in not doing it, take it FWIW, Dave.
