Like mentioned above it's probably just pooping, but too much light can also cause the coral to expel Zooxanthellae as well. Definitely keep your eye on it for the next week or so for any out of the ordinary behavior.

BTW, I've moved this coral from the top portion of the tank to the bottom, under a rock...

When he arrived, was opened and feeding for about two weeks... Then, he started to shrink and then never opened again. So, I've moved to the middle, and after a month, no results. I thought he was dead, but decided to put him down the sand bed and in a low flow place. That seems to have worked. It's really difficult now to feed him though.

Anyway, thanks for the tip and I'll keep observing.

They eat and expel from the same "mouth" so I agree that it is probably just "pooping". I found they do better lower in my tank and not in direct flow. Mine are splitting and spreading like crazy. So much so that I have taken five bunches to the LFS for credit over the last six months.

On mine I can see the "skeleton" on the main "branch" and only the flesh on their 5 heads...

No sign of growing whatsoever.

Is there anything you do in special?

Sometimes I do feed them with frozen food, with a turkey baster. I enjoy seeing them change while eating!
