Candy Cane- Is this bad or good?

I have a candy cane that looks great and has not shown any signs of problems. I picked it up to clean the glass and it had like a cotton/cottonball type stuff on it??? What is it? All my water tests are coming out normal except my calcium being at 360 (not too bad) and my KH still being high. Tank is running from 79.8-82.9(day)

I don't know? Attached to the side of a few heads is like a small cottonball. On the back of the rock it came on, it has a cottonlike feel but is a darker color???

When you say attached, do you mean to the fleshy part of the head? It sounds like a tunicate, but it's really hard to tell w/out an image.
