Pam: Thanks again for the great deal on the neon candy cane and what a really beautiful aquarium you have! You asked that I post a pic in its new home. I also wanted you to see the polyp size difference that we were discussing. It will have another place in the aquarium, but I put it beside the other cc to show the size difference. It will be interesting to see if it gets any larger in the next week or so...Let me know when you get the hammer fragged. :D

Jabo, we decided to let Pam keep your purchases for now since I am not sure if you still wanted me to pick them up and they (SPS) will certainly be much happier in her tank (MH lighting like yours) in the long run. I am working with Chris to find a time to pick up the rics.....if you want me to pic them up and bring them to him let me know and I will be happy to run by there again for you....

Yeah Rudolph we need to setup a time to get these rics to you. If Jason wants the frags still I'm only willing to keep them for a day for him. I held off on my sps from Pam because of my tank. My sps has been doing very poorly as of late. I'm willing to pick them up and ship if he needs me to. Just don't want to kill anymore coral right now. Especially someone elses. Pam I never received a reply after I told you I needed to hold off on my purchase. I still want the frags, I just need to figure out what is going on with my tank first. No sense in buying something only to watch it bleach and die. I hope you understand. What sps I did have left I have packed in my brother's tank for the time being.

Thanks for helping a brother out Kerry!!!

Just kiddimg, i still want them and I will hold off too. I am heading to Destin this week for a vacation. When i get back I will contact Pam.

Kerry post a pic of that candy cane in a week when that water quality and inferior lights shrinks it up to the size of the one beside it!!!!!! LOL just kidding.

...and you must have been too busy packing those flip flops and speedo to notice I offered to go back just for you...have fun in Florida..

Chris: I am sure Pam will be okay with holding them until Jason (or me) pick them up when Jason can come this way..

Jabo: When I graduate into a stick reef guy you will owe me a few twigs (aka - SPS frags) and we will call it even.

Thanks Marty.

I presume it will eventually fill out like my original one (on the left), but Pam also had a teal version that was basically the same size as this neon and has been in her tank for several years. She has MH, but a deep tank. I looked at several pics on our local site and on the internet and all of the neon CC I saw looked small. Anyone have neon cc that has 2.5-3" polyps?

Hey Jabo, you never answered an earlier ID request. Are any of the three pics I posted on the "Frags for Swap!" thread (at the top) sticks? I am not sure where I found them, but they seem to get pushed here and there and I never find the right spot. ...they need a new home..

Not sure what they are but I dont think they are SPs....Kenya tree or colt coral??? #3 might be SPS but I have no idea what it is???

Grab a hold of them...SPS is hard small polyp stoney...

I believe the third one is a green pocilliopora. Not sure if I spelled that right. The other two look like softies.

thanks Chris. maybe I will give the softies another try and put them back in my main tank

Hey, I bought a phosphate reactor and some pellets. I was reading that if you fill the reactor to what it will hold, versus what the pellet directions tell you for your size tank, it can bleach out your corals. I know you have been having bleaching issues and I am know you are/where using NP pellets and thought I would pass that along....I also read to only use half the recommended amount to begin with....anyway, hope things are getting better...

I bought a BP reactor this week as well. We will see how it goes. The main thing i read is to only add enough to make the pellets roll in a gentle tumble. When i added as much as my tank calls for they sat still and hardly moved. I took about 1/3/ out and they are "gently tumbling".

Jabo: Can you add a larger pump to enable you to use the right amount? I thought mine would come in yesterday, but it didn't.
