candy cane question

Hi Guys,


Yesterday i bought a candy cane coral. I acclimated it for around 15 min and put it in my tank.
The problem is that it didn't open (inflate) yet...
Should i be worried about it... Does it take too long to look healthy ?

My param are:

Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrite - 0 ppm
Nitrate - 8ppm
Alkalinity - 9.0 dKH
Calcium - 450 ppm
Magnesium - 1360 ppm
Phosphate - 0.01 ppm

My lights are not the best ones (i am planning to change) but i read here in this forum that the light requirements for candy cane are not high... so light should be fine.

Any thoughts anyone?

Looks good to me.
I have one like this, have it higher up getting more light.

This is caulastrea tumida,it tends to show its septa more, and it's not going to inflate and get as puffy as caulastrea furcata, cuvrvata, echinulata.
Yours looks like it's doing just fine.
