candy cane question

2 days ago i bought a group of candy cane corals. All my parameters are in check.....its placed half way up in MH lighting....It came previously from MH lighting. I have it in medium-low flow as of now. they have not opened up......do they take some time or do i need to do something else?

leave them in lower flow and medium to low light. I have 7 different morps of candy canes and they like lower flow and medium light.

They usually only "open" at night. Check your tank about 1/2 hour after the lights go off.

I agree with moon guy. If they have high flow they will not open much either in the day or at night with the feeding tentacles. Mine also like the lowest part of the tank. Any higher and they lighten up considerably. I have one in a little higher flow then it likes but no option to move it so I have to trick it to put out it's feeding tentacles by spraying it with some food mix. Usually about ten min after this it puts out it's tentacles and I can give a nice feeding. The other one is in a perfect spot and has a little better color.
