candy cane ????

my candy cane is supposed to be red and green but its brown. high in tank under pc's. half actinic and half daylight. any suggestions to get color back?

My color came back when I put them on the bottom....strange but true.

I keep my red and green candy cane on the bottom of my 90 gal and it does great there. i also have some neon green candy cane which is placed middle to lower in the tank and that mines growing like crazy.
