Candy Cane ?

My candy cane coral was leaning over last night, when I went to stand it up, a piece of the base, about 1/2" lond stayed behind. (broke off) It was white in the center of it. Will it grow another coral, or is it dead. The top half seemed to be doing ok when I went to bed last night.

Man I am sorry to hear that hapopened to you I have not had the best of lucks with candycanes, I have had a neon green and a neon blue not make it, for some reason they do not seek to like my tank.

If the top is okay and still has good polyps, the top should keep on growing new polyps. The bottom part is not going to grow any polyp if no polyp is left on it.
