Does anyone have a small frag, two or three heads, of Candy Cane that is not neon green or red with a green center?

Mike I just wanted to thank you for the Candy canes. I appreciate you showing me your tank and explaining how you set up your system. You have a very impressive tank, one that I hope to be able to one day duplicate. Keep it up what a great tank.

Just curious...

Tank size? How many and what type of VHOs? And, do you run a chiller?

I have a 75G tank with 410 watts of VHO, so just curious...

The tank is a 180. I have been running since 1996 3 uri 140 watt aquasuns and 3 140 watt actinics. I use icecap 660 ballasts with the waterproof end caps. All of this equipment has been extremely reliable and has produced incredible growth on all different types of corals. The bulbs hang in a custom mica hood 3 inches above the water. I dont need a chiller another benefit of the vho's. The trick to growing sps is to use the upper third of the tank for them.

Guys, I ran my tank (29g) under VHO's for a long long time and last year upgraded to T5's, and I'm VERY happy with the results. I used the same ballasts and endcaps (just have to make sure your ballasts are rated for the right bulbs)--and the color is better, there is more light in the same amount of space, they run cooler... If you are looking to upgrade, or to switch to VHO from something else, I'd highly recommend the T5's.
