All i have right now is mysis and some frozen food. Will these things eat mysis? I have 3 heads that definitely need to eat but the are so damn slow that my fish try to grab the food before they get to eat it

Edit: I just spot fed it some Phyto-Feast. Will see how it responds when I get home in a couple hours

I used to have to chase my cleaner shrimp away with rigid tubing when I spot feed my frogspawn. It would probably work for fish too.

You will probably get better results with zooplankton, cyclops, etc.. Not to say phyto is not good, but large meatier chunks serve a better purpose for LPS.

They should eat the mysis - mine love it.

Might try feeding at "night" as well. Mine will open up and swallow mysis during daylight - but this may not be true for all of them. they also love rods food. In both cases - I need to "cover" the mouths and make sure that the other tank inhabitants give them enough time to chow.

Post a pic - they sometimes look closed up and shriveled during the day. what makes you think that they "must" be fed? At night - do you see the feeder tentacles out?

They'll eat the mysis for sure, but I think it's uncessary (unlike the sun corals). Let the fish eat the frozen food and they'll indirectly feed the candy coral for you. My colony grows like a weed and I never feed it directly.
