Candy Hog

I am setting up a 24 aquapod soon and was wondering if a candy hog is appropriate for this size tank. Different books and websites have said it needs 20 or 30 gallons. I would just like to here from someone who has experience with this fish. Thanks.

I think they need significantly larger tanks...they need to pick at stuff all day long like other wrasses and without sufficent live rock, they probably will not be getting enough food. I have kept several over the years and would say that 50 gallons is a better minimum.

Also, with their habits in mind, you dont want to mix them with mandarins or even too many other wrasses.

A 24 is too small..Mine swims every inch of my 8', 240 tank.. I would say minimum 55 gallon for this fish at full grown ...75 gallons + would be better
