Canon 10D questions...

i've been thinking about a DSLR for a bit now... and i just found a 10D with lens and stuff for sale for $250... good deal?? does using the EF lenses instead of EF-S make a huge difference?

i did a search, and found some nice pics taken with 10D's, but nothing else..

The 10D can't use EF-S lenses because it was produced before the EF-S spec came out. EF-S lenses extend too far into the camera body and would interfere with your mirror.

It's still a good camera and that's a decent price depending on what the lenses are.

the lens is a 50 mm f/1.8 Canon EF lens.

i just was reading about the EF vs. EF-S, so i know why they won't work, i'm just wondering if i'm missing out on anything major without that capability...

i was looking at the completed auctions on ebay too.. and the price seems about right...

Nope. EF-S is a lower end lens; you're not missing anything.

My 5D also can't use EF-S lenses. I wouldn't sweat it.
