canon 18-200 EF-S IS

I'm not too excited about f/5.6 wide open, but with a 4 stop IS system, it might be good? Your going to need lots of light though...probably more than a tank can offer in the telephoto range.

I played with one for a while at my local camera shop and without actual scientific testing, I would say that they are about the same quality as a 17-85 IS lens. Decent, but not that great for the price. I would rather get the Sigma 18-200 OS if you want a lens that has that zoom range. I think both are within the same quality/sharpness range, but the Sigma is over $200 less.
