Canon A610 and 400 watt 20k XM's

Slave to the reef!
Ever since i upgraded to my current tank i have been having problems getting good pictures with my A610. I have a 125 with 3 400 watt 20k XM's and can;t get decent pics for the life of me. My problem is that the lights are so bright and blue i can't get an accurate shot of the color of my corals. Can anyone here recommend what i could try? I have tried white balance settings custom and presets, I have also tried a million Av and TV setting but i am still struggling to get any decent shots. I guess the FTS's aren't that bad but the close-ups all blow, especially the ones that are further back in the tank.

How do you guys get close-ups? How far from the glass do you usually shoot from? How can i focus on the item i want to shoot and not the glass?!?! I'm really happy with my tank ATM but am really bumming cause i can't get any good shots. Maybe its time for a new camera?

Here's a FTS

Heres the best close-up i took all day, out of focus but the color is fairly accurate. Also, its' really grainy.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

To set your white balance for 20k you will need an expodisc. Once you have set the white balance properly the colors of your photos will be more accurate.
