canon digital rebel, ikelite, 100mm lens -- best settings?

hi there!

as the title suggests, i'm going to be using a canon digital rebel w/ an ikelite underwater housing and a canon 100mm macro lense.

this will be for scuba and snorkling.

no flashes this time around though...

at any rate, i was wondering what the best settings would be for snorkling and scuba diving w/ this combo?

Av mode or ??

Depending on how deep you go and how clear and sunny it is will be a determining factor. I shoot in manual mode with my Olympus 5050. I start with F5 at 1/100 sec with a strobe set for TTL and adjust from there. Light is going to be important. Use the camera's flash if you can. My ikelite housing casts a shadow when I was using the camera's built-in flash so I had to zoom in so my camera was far enough from my target and my flash could dissipate.
