Canon rebel xsi or Sony a350

What beerguy said is true ,that said I think canon has a greater selection of lenses and in my opinion lenses are more inportant than the camera {plus I love my canon}

Thanks guys, I guess i will go with the Sony, because I can get a better deal on it. Going with a 50mm marco with it.

From the sounds of it,they are on par with each other.

I have the 40D, 30D, and the XSI. I love my canon's (duh)

Whichever brand you choose, you will probably stick with for a loooooong time. Don't just decide from now. Decide for 10 years from now as well.
