Hey folks this is my first post here but I am a long time follower.

I have a 55G "cube" (Its not a true cube but its a very nice shape) With loads of live rock. I have a yellow watchman goby w/ pistol shrimp, Matted File fish, Bengal Cardinal, small long nose hawkfish, two Cleaner shrimp and one small false percula clownfish. I also have several snails and emerald crabs.

All my fish seem to be thriving, they eat like crazy, none seem to be picking on the others. I just have one problem, any time I add a larger clown fish (1-2") it will only last about a month. My little tiny clown has been in problem free for 6 months, As soon as I add a larger female he submits and they swim everywhere together, he is awesome. Then whatever happens to the larger one it happens in 1 day and the next morning they are gone. The only symptoms I see is that she is pale in color and slow the day before. Sometime in the night she passes on. I have lost two exactly like this.

I just lost the second one last night/this morning. She was eating and chasing food yesterday.

What are your water parameters and what exactly is your acclimation protocol.

I will have to get another test kit. I do small frequent water changes. Like 5-10 Gallons a week. I have not lost anything except my two larger clowns I added at separate times.

For acclimating I float for 15 minutes and then I drip for about 30. I do not have a QT tank but I have had no issue with adding new members. Both clowns were fine for a month or more before they up and died.
