Can't stop showing these off!

FLricordia

In Memoriam
I know everyone is probably about sick of all the pics I post.
Here are some of the rics I got from reef gardener last week. They put all my other corals too shame.

very nice indeed FLRicordia, although i might suggest that you keep them very far away from those GSP's...
Thanks. yes, I keep them thinned out. Other than their fast growth they pose no harm to other corals. If you mean the rics toward the GSp, than I have seen no sign of such.

they look a little bleached.. but are very beautiful
WHAT? Bleached? Ha,ha. You might need to get a new monitor. The only white is where I fragged it and it is folded a bit.
Other than that the colors are purple background, green fringed, orange fading into yellow bubbles.

Hey there, I'm really glad you like them. ;] Honestly, they do look a bit bleached, you should put them in medium lighting and they should get their color back in a month or two. And I agree, keep them away from the gsp, gsp have a very strong sting.

Hope to see you again soon!

exact same ones i have.. and trust me they are slightly bleached.. in a few months they will get darker.. but the base stays white.. nothing to worry about and the appearance change is almost unknoticable

OK, OK. I still say that the camera isn't doing a good job of reproducing the colors to well. I have to increase exposure to get a decient shot, but I have pulled the MH and placed PC lighting for now as some of my yumas don't seem to be liking the MH too well.
I also pulled some of the GSP, though in the pic they look closer than they actually are. Everyone happy now?
There is one of those-I forget the name-green and pink anemones that are invasive and no one likes but sell like crazy on ebay attatched to some of the GSP, so I don't want that in the tank.

Awesome! Gorgeous !!
Today I'm suppose to be getting a riccordia from a friend that is closing down her tank. It's a hot pink color, she's had it for a couple years and paid ....listen to this....$109.00 for it orginally! I'll post a picture when I get it settled.

i got the same ricordea, nice lookin tho... hot pink with traces of blue and green rite? ill post pics later.. its not that bleached out. its a white looking ricordia..

Clear is not a color ricordea come in.

No matter how + or - your exsposure is set to it will never give the camera xray properties. You can see through the body of the rics. The shade of green with the orange is nice tho, that color combination is not all too common.

They are bleached. Not very badly, but they are bleached.

SMP yours is bleached too. It's not going to die but it has still to color up.

I am not flaming, I am just saying what I see every day by the hundreds.

It's not bleached!!! It's fluorescent! I paid 90 dollars for it from a very reputable online vendor that would never lie to me to take my money!!!

Yes, mine is bleached, more so than the OP, but the OP sad to say, also has a bleached ricordia. I can only hope you weren't sold it as being 'rare' or something because it isn't.
Any ricordea that is a shade of colour between the one I posted and a NORMAL ricordia is bleached to some extent. Like the previous poster said, transluscent is not a normal colour for them.
They can survive with less or no zooxenthelae (sp?) for a long time, mine has been in this state in my tank for over six months now without any change!
