Captured Mantis Pic

I was successful in capturing one of my mantis shrimp. Fortunately, I heard the clicking sound and was looking in the right spot at the right time (AFTER WEEKS OF SEARCHING) and saw his little face peaking out of my mushrooms. A week later I saw him out nearly all the way. I removed the rock covered in mushrooms and placed it in wet newspaper. He crawled out in a matter of minutes - 10 to be exact. He's about 2" long. I don't want to kill it. I'll probably take it to the LFS. Any idea what kind it may be?

Mine are closer to an inch.

After letting my LR cure for about 6 weeks I spotted one. I got a trap and caught it in a couple minutes. Then I realized I had another and it wouldn't fall for the trap. I had to dunk that rock in FW. Now I am pretty sure I have a third. I still have the two alive in a 10 gallon.

VEry nice mantis, colorful. And very nice of you to save it, unlike some male donkey :D that burned it. I would suggest making a small tank and keep it in there, they are very cool to watch.

Thanks. I took your advice and decided to turn my 30 gal Hex QT tank into a mantis home. She clicks every now and then. Any suggestions on what to feed (Live )him. I'm having a hard time finding a LFS that sells ghost shrimp. They recommend guppies but I'm afraid they'll die before he gets to him and he won't be interested. Any Thoughts? Anyone know his name or own one of these? Let me know. Thanks.
