Carbon/gfo reactors

So I'm wanting to build a stand for my tank with a small sump. Right now my setup has all the equipment in the tank and it doesn't look that nice so I'm starting to look into equipment i can put in the sup and one thing I would like is a carbon reactor to help with the clarity of my water right now it does have a slight tint that bugs me so I was wondering what a good carbon reactor would be for a 10 gallon tank something small and effective. Any suggestions would help thanks.

Could just put a bag of carbon somewhere in the sump? I just put a bag of it and another bag of GFO just below my sponge in my 5 gallon Fluval Spec V water is always crystal clear and no algae issues. I replace my carbon and GFO monthly and change 5 gallons of water every 2 weeks. I dose alk and calcium daily.
