looking to buy a reactor to use carbon in. looking at the two little fishies phosban reactor 150. I want to know what pump to use for the use of carbon in the reactor. I assume a maxi jet will suffice, just what size? I have a mj 1200 but dont know if it will be too much flow. Thanks for the help.

isnt the $17 housing from buck eye the same thing? well, i guess you would need the cartridge to an fitting. comes out about right

They have them set up with 1/2" swivel fittings and tubing, a flow valve, pump fitting, etc.

I use a TLF reactor filled up all the way with Kent pellet carbon and run a MODEL 1100 MAXI-JET SUBMERSIBLE UTILITY WATER PUMP (294 gph) and it works great. You can run a higer flow rate through carbon than you could through x-phosphate.
