Care and feeding of Dolabella sea hare

I had a tank crash-ish about 2 years ago that caused the death of most of my corals but left the fish and inverts unscathed. I pretty much gave up on the tank for a while, and except for feeding and top-offs, i did pretty much nothing. As a result, the nutrients got out of control and HA took over.

About six months ago, I decided to try and turn my tank around. Through frequent WCs, running lots of GAC, and vinegar dosing, I managed to get the nutrients down to an undetecable level; however, despite lots of manual removal, the HA just kept on coming back, albeit not quite as heavily or quickly.

In desperation, I picked up a Dolabella sea hare. It's been in the tank for 3 or 4 weeks and has done a great job of getting rid of the HA. It is pretty much all gone.

I'd like to keep the Sea Hare for a few more months to ensure that the HA is really beat, but I don't want the animal to starve to death before trading it in at the LFS. I've been attaching some nori to a rock and putting it out for the sea hare in the evening. The nori is alway gone in the morning, but I can't guarantee that something else isn't eating it.

For those of you who keep sea hares, what do you feed yours when you run out of HA? Do they eat Chaeto and/or Caulerpa?

Thanks.

I always handed my sea hare nori and he took it right out of my hand. He swallowed a piece half the size as him in one big gulp!

Sadly I lost him unsuspectingly.. no clue what happened.

Thanks,

Tried hand-feeding mine nori and it ate it quite readily.

I'm just not sure that it is getting enough.
