CaribSea sand

The Fiji pink is on the finer side and will get blown around in a high flow tank. I prefer the Special grade for a slightly courser sand.

Thank you that's just what I was looking for.

On amazon there's two one looks darker and the others description says Bimini pink is that just the color?

I've never heard of Bimini pink. I've always purchased the CaribSea Special Grade Arag-alive sand. BRS (easy to find on most reef specialty online stores)

I've found that jawfish and goby/pistol shrimp do better in this sand, anything finer tends to collapse often and forces my poor pistol shrimp to dig away all day.

It's more popular east coast but I like Tropic Eden Live Reeflakes 3.5mm grains... but even that still gets pushed around with enough flow.

Its the only sand ive used (first tank setup a lil over a year ago, saw it in a display tank at a lfs and wife loved it). Its definitely on the finer side, but i love the small pinkish specs mixed in. When ur sand is super clean, u can definitely see the "pink".

Curious to see the special grade in person gonna check out some local stores it's between caribsea special grade and tropic eden reef flakes I want something in between those sound like the best options for me. Trying to seed a new tank.

Have you ever tried, Tropic Eden Reeflakes Grand Select. It's 4.5mm vs 3mm for Reeflakes.

No, i have a small maimed pair diamondback gobies. they do ok with the 3.5mm. I'd be afraid to put them in with 4.5. Perhaps just dump a bag of 4.5 up front where I'm having the BB problem.
