I'm planning a new tank and I wanted to use a mix of dry rocks and live rocks. Where I live (Italy) it's difficult to find dry rocks retailers and so far the only kind I've been able to find is CaribSea South Seas Base Rock, so I wanted some advice about this product.
Do any of you have these rocks in your tank? Would you recommend them?
How porous are they? Could they be comparable to live rocks in terms of bacterial available surface area?
Is it necessary to treat them somehow before putting them in the tank?
What's the difference between these and CaribSea Reef Rock? Would you recommend one over the other?
