Carnation Tree Coral !

Hi all ,,,,,,,,,

Im planning to keep Carnation Tree Coral in my reef tank , and i have two questions :

1- Is it difficult to keep this coral ?

2- What did this coral need ?

Difficult to keep

Iodine is one that you will need to suplement,low light,& low flow.

It is not that difficult as long as you feed them enough. I use an automatic feeder to feed them dry coral food a pinch every time and four times a day.

It's an extremely difficult coral to keep that even "pro's" fail with. They requires special foods. Very few can actually keep smaller polyped dendro's alive.

Do you research, Danny Dame wrote a great article regarding his feeding schedule. Try other easier non-photo's before trying these. Sun corals and diodigorgia would be much better first choices.

Definitely difficult!!! I would check out this article....the guy whose tank is being featured has had good success with these, and the article provides detail on his feeding methods. Also check out the non-photosynthetic coral forum....best of luck!!!
