Carpet Anemones

Anybody have one? Do they really eat other fish in the tank? Are they really that hard to keep? TIA

I had one, it ate a bar goby, and it only lasted in my tank a month

S. haddoni are known fish eaters.

The carpet was a little over a foot across. The bar goby was a little under half of that. Even if the coral doesnt eat them it can sting them to death.

A carpet can eat some pretty big fish
I have perc clowns in mine that chase other fish away
Tank should be mature & stable

the red and blue one have eaten a 5" regal angel, a 4" copper band butterfly, a mandarin goby, a 5" scribbled rabbit fish, a pink bar goby and a possibly a couple other fish that simply disappeared. I was holding them in my main display for a friend. They ate all those fish in three weeks. I finally removed them to another tank by themselves.
they are on the ends of the tank.

sweet looking carpets

been itching to get a red one but the price and having to ship them without real guarantees is daunting....

my blue/green carpet may have eaten my tiny blue tang or it went over the overflow

Mine has never eaten any fish. I am sure that it is a matter of time. I keep it well fed with mysis and krill about 5x per week.

wow! Those are sum pretty big fish. I just might have to move mine.
