About a month ago I added a Copper Band to my tank, about a week later he developed tiny white specks on his transparent fin membranes, I first suspected ICH, and did nothing except treat his food with garlic to see if it would get better. I now see that is is not ick as the white spots have over the past 2 weeks grown bigger to about 1.5mm in diameter, there are about five of these on the fishes fins, the fish does not seem to be in any distress,except for the occasional twitch, he is eating very well and otherwise seems fine. Now I suspect it might be Lymphocytis, but am not sure. I attached two pictures. Can anybody tell me what the fish has got, as well as what the remedy would be.

I had something very similar with my CBB back in September of 04. It dropped off after a couple weeks and never came back. Fish is still very healthy today.

How long has it been there? It might be the same thing...

2 and a half weeks now

That was around the time when the ones on mine fell off...are there any signs of that happening, or does he appear to be getting more? As stated, I didn't do anything on mine to help work the process...it happened on its own.

I'll give you a bump in the queue here, maybe someone else has an idea...

This looks like lymphocytis for sure. Its just a virus that has to run its coarse. It should not affect the other fish and great water quality will go a long way in helping the fish heal himself.
