CBB with one white spot

I've got a CBB who has been in QT for about a month now (new acquisition) and it has a single white spot on its fin. I noted a single white spot on its right fin and then a few days later that disappeared and a few days ago I noted a spot on its left fin. I suppose it could be ich, but there doesn't appear to be any spread.

Water parameters are fine and he is eating very well and staying active.

Diagnosis and treatment recommendations???

Thanks!!!

Hey guy! :wavehand: Fancy seeing you here

Anyway, just keep an eye on him for now. A couple of spots in not a real concern. It could be a lot of things including Lymphocystis, a viral disease that has no cure but is not life threatening. Usually clears up on its own with good water conditions and a good variety of food
I would watch for other signs such as heavy breathing, scratching, loss of appetite, hanging at the surface and of course the development of more spots.
If it does end up with ich, Hyposalinity is the best treatment. You would need a refractometer to slowly lower SG to 1.009, keep it there for 4 weeks. You will need to check salinity daily as well as PH . PH will drop during hypo so you may need to add buffer from time to time. After 4 weeks, you can raise the SG back to normal

You can lower sg in 48 hrs. you need to raise it more slowly, should take a week to get it back to normal.
If it gets worse, try and post some pictures

Thanks. I've gone the hyposalinity route with good results, but I'm thinking it's not ich. I've considered a FW dip, but don't want to unnecessarily stress hiim.

Suppose I better get back to the lounge before I get caught...
