I saw it on an aquarium lights site and cant remember which one it is right now, but they are cheap, low watts, emit virtually no heat, and high lumens (29000). I have a 1 gallon pico with some live rock which I am going to test them out on. I am willing to bet that they are going to be too bright so I will have to play with them a little bit. The whole kit cost me like $23 shipped. First, I am going to test it out on a ricordia, then montipora, maybe some lps, and then an acro frag from my tank.
I will post pics when it arrives and keep this thread open for comments and suggestion. If anyone has a par meter, I would love to test these out since I dont have thousands to spend on one.
I have everything I need to test except for the lps frag. If anyone is willing to donate for a scientific cause I will be more then willing to accept.
. After the experiment is over I will give the frag back to you if its in good shape, otherwise I will be more then willing to compensate for your loss.
