cedar rapids/iowa city pizza party

Hey Guys and Gals. Fawn and I are in the proccess of organizing the pizza party for our area. we are shooting for Feb 3rd around noon. if anybody has suggestion or Ideas please let us know.
What is a good pizza place in the area? will the date and time work for everyone? Any Ideas for other activities?

Would anybody be willing to let the club see there tanks while we are in the area? lets see how much participation we can get. this is a new year and we are hoping to succeed this year and make it a very active year. hope to see everybody there. we will be looking for other activities but suggestions would be great.
 
Is this going to be in CR or IC? The best pizza around CR (IMHO) is Zoey's. Tomaso's is good to and might have a bit more room. Of course there are all of the usual fair (Pizza Hut, Godfathers, etc).

I have no idea what's in Iowa City, but I'd be game for anything.

If it is in the CR area, I'd love to have people check out my tank. I doubt anyone would learn anything from it as I don't have much coral yet, but I'd love to get some input/advise/suggestions.

the plan is to have the pizza party in Iowa city/coralville. Fawn suggested old chicago pizza. any other suggestions? would somebody be willing to have this a their house and we order the pizza? the club will pay for the pizza but members will be responsible for there own drinks.
 
Old Chicago is good and with this far advance notice I sure as heck won't have a really good reason to not go :)

I'd vote for Old Chicago imo. It gives us things to do and has a great assortment of beers to sample :)

Pool tables are open to anyone who wants to wager frags :P
 
So we have the possible date of Feb. 3rd, (Sat.) 12 noon at Old Chicago in Coralville. How does that sound to everyone?

We are also trying to come up with other activities for that day. Some ideas we've been tossing around:

Tours of the local fish stores (SOM, Coralville Bay, Petland), possible fish store discounts that day, and maybe touring some local home tanks........... we are open to any ideas, so let us know!

I would say lets set this date and time unless it just doesn't work for everybody. I would like to know as soon as possible for the date and who plans attending so I can check on discounts and schedule LFS tours. we hope this will be a GREAT time with a GREAT turnout of members from all areas.
 
Might be better to get a final count when the holidays are over........ I know a lot of people are headed out of town and won't be on rc much.
 
So.......... who plans on coming to this?! We need a count; right now I believe we have 3?! There has to be more people interested!
 
my wife and I. but yes we do need to get a rought head count so I can try to work more on discounts and we can make arrangements @ Old Chicago
 
Crap I am interested but I don't think I can make it there and back in time for work. So far I am missing all the parties within driving distance. I wonder if I'll ever get to join lol :)
 
2 and a half for me too. My wife is always up for some OC and my little girl likes pizza so thats a plus too :>
