Ceramic rock

Want to rescape one of my tanks. Right now it is just stacked rock. Dont like the look of it and due to the size of some of my colonies places to put more SPS are very limited. I seen on another forum a picture of someones ceramic LR. Looked spectacular. Anyone local know of someone or themselves work in ceramics and is capable of producing something similar to this:

So if you where to make something like this, how do you go about swapping it for the rock in your tank without disaster? I have seen videos of people making these structures out of Portland cement and a few other ingredients. They used a big trough full of sand to give it the surface area. It looks pretty easy to do.

Could be a fun weekend project if you want some help. We have too much free time right now as it is, so it should be real easy to donate a Saturday and knock this out.

Cement as it cures really screws with the pH of your tank and releases a lot of ammonia in your system. That's why when doing things out of a reg accrete or Portland so get for 30 to 90 days to get all the junk out of there wild doing multiple water changes. supposedly with the ceramic at the high temperature. I have been looking at it a lot today at work and it looks like a lot of people just add it to their tank with no pH swings or anything. I wouldn't do that route. I would soak it for a while with some other live rock out of my Sump to populate it with bacteria

The more I look at that rock work, the more I wanna look back at the picture. It doesn't look how you envision a aquascaping but by no means does it not set well. Yes, I keep going back and looking at it. It looks too cool to deny. The area that grabs my attention is the overhang on almost far right but only because the left side lowest point looks so compliment art to the right ledge!

I saw that. Definitely outside the box.
There was another rockscape by someone named Youngil Moon. Over the top. And I believe he used all real rock. There's a couple of vids of the tank and him setting it up on youtube.

The thread on the other forum where he shows the build completed is beautiful. All covered with SPS. He also shows how the long overhang is supported. With a long acrylic bar.

Half a tube.....

I can't remember. It's been awhile. Acrylic rod would have really cut down on the amount. I used gel super glue than ground the water weld into the rock as an extra measure.
