chaeto dying?

I have placed some big chunks of chaeto in my refugium. After a few weeks it seems to have shrunk. I have it floating in there with some mud and some mangroves. I have a 50/50 florescent light on it for about 10 hours a day. The water flow is about 200GPH. Am I doing something wrong?

Dose some iron, less flow about 50gph, more light.
