Chaeto in main display?

I tried searching with no results so I thought I would ask..... Is there anything wrong with keeping chaeto in the main display. I am limited to where I can put this stuff and have it in there now and it made a big difference in water quality. Will I run into any problems?

no, some fish might try to eat it, and its not exactly pretty. but i have some cheato in the display that i rotate with the sump to bring up pods for my mandarin.

Haha yeah my mystery wrasse is getting fat from eating pods out of it. So it wont spread out into the rocks and take over then right?

It has never attached to my rock in my nano tank and I have it in the display, but I have heard that it can. I personally like some in the display, I like the green it adds.

i dunno if it can really attach, i;d figure it would have already done that in my sump. it can break from fish attacking it and get caught in powerheads, but i just make sure to give them a quick visual check now and then

I don't see why not. They don't form "runners" that will attach onto anything like other macros. I've entertained that idea for a while and think it might look kinda neat but I've got tangs and high flow in my display. It may not make it past a week before being consumed or blown all over the place.

Chaeto can't attach to anything.

People that say it 'attached' to their rock are just talking about it getting snagged or stuck in a crevice.
