Chaeto in sump with light?

OK, I don't have the room for a fuge, just a sump and its pretty full of skimmers, pumps, etc. What I'm looking to do is put a large clump of Chaeto in my sump with a clip on light to help with nutrient export. IS this a worthwhile thing to do. The reason I;m looking to do this is because I have small out breaks of red slime and Hair algae (nothing too bad) but want to export the nutrients.

What do ya think?
would this cause any problems in my sump?

What type of light could I use and what watts, and is florescent ok? how long of a photo period?

The biggest thing that jumps to my mind is creating a way to securely prevent the chaeto from moving about.

An eggcrate wall with nylon mesh screen attached to it comes to mind.

If not the Chaeto will get sucked into your pumps intake and then...watch out.

oh, not problem I have a filter pad between the pumps, skimmer and down flow pipes, it would not catch anything
would it work then
