Chalated Copper Dose

I am treating a box fish with coppersafe. I followed the dose instructions and then measured the copper concentration at .75mg/L . I have read that when using copper you should shoot for a concentration .15-.30mg/L I have also read when using chelated copper you need a higher dose. Is this true. Should I reduce the concentration to .25mg/L Will .25mg/l of chelated cure my ich problem. What are people’s experiences with this? I am concerned my fish is under sever stress.

Thank you

Follow the dosing instructions -- chleated needs a higher dose. That being said, keep a close eye on your boxfish. If it appears like the copper is really stressing it, you can reduce the levels and see if they are still effective.
