Change the trim color

is there anywhere that sells fake woodgrain tape to change the color of the trim on a tank ????
the stand im getting for that 125 is light wood
and the tank is dark wood grain so i wanted to try and make it match

well the trim is glued to the galss i was just gonna put woodgrain tape on it and it would look the same

You can buy oak finish looking contact paper at Ace Hardware and Home Depot. Looks OK from a distance...

I Did it on a 35 Hex and you couldn't tell the diff from the all-glass fake wood stand from a step back...

hey jw, out in plainfield you might want to try two woodwoorker shops. one is berland's house of tools and the other is rockler in tinley park. here's their numbers:

they are some good wood shops and may not have something simple like a liminate but they can probably point you in the right direction at least.

my cousin used to paint wood grain doors and such...pretty cool technique used a special rollers by hand and metal comb...just a thought.
