Channeled natural sunlight?

Has anyone used something similar to this that can provide some insights?

I live in southern cali, and sunlight is never lacking here. I figure if this works, my next tank upgrade will see this.

Yes people have... And usually it doesn't turn out very good. The amount of light that the tubes allow is good for lighting a room and such, but after a few months, the reflectors inside the tube start to oxidize a little. Now this won't matter for lighting a room, but the quality and amount of light will start affecting coral growth.
