Chatter Noise

Ever since I got my pump back from service I can't seem to keep it aligned. The wetside makes a chattering noise due to misalignment.
It's good for a few hours and then I guess the wetside slips and goes out of alignment.

I am wondering if it has something to do with the foam on the backing plate that is attached to the wetside.

Can you buy just the backing plate with a new piece of foam attached?

Make sure your pin spacing is correct and that the inner glass is CLEAN

Is the foam deteriorating or worn away in spots? Give me a name and I can look up your records and see what was done to the pump when it was here for service. Forward this info to service@ecotechmarine.com where the problem will be addressed.

The foam just looks pretty flat, I wouldn't say it has any deterioration or worn spots.

My normal pin setting is a 1/2, I went down to 3/8 just for testing and it helped a little bit but it gets to the point where I just have to shut it off.

I tryed moving it to diff parts of my tank, even on perfectly clean glass the same thing happens. I'm prett shure it has something to do with the foam keeping it from vibrating out of alignment.
