Cheap 7 Day Timer w/ 8 outlets

So I'm at Lowes today looking around for something to retrofit my lighting. I walk down the electrical aisle and noticed the power strips and started looking around. I then noticed an intermatic power strip w/ a 7 day digital timer. It said the price with $9 so I grabbed two. What was cool was that it can be programmed w/ 7 settings and can be set with individuals days if you wanted. 4 of the outlets worked on the timer while the other 4 were constants. It even came with a battery to keep the program memory just in case the power went out.

I went to the check out counter and the cashier rung them up for $2.50/each. I asked it she was correct and she confirmed. I went back down the aisle and grabbed another 4. $15 for all 6 timer/outlets??? What a steal. Either it was a mistake or on sale. I suggest you folks go check out your local lowes. Even for $9 it's a great deal. I paid for my original intermatic timers w/ only 1 outlet before for like $30 and thought that was a good deal to save me the headaches of remembering to turn things on and off.

Thought I'd share.

Hope these are better than the Coralife timer/strips. Thos have been known to burst into flames. Keep an eye on it.

I also bought one from my Lowes for 2.50, but threw it away after reading about the Coralife timers. Intermatic must make the Coralife timers, because this timer is EXACTLY the same as the Coralife Digital power center, except that the coralife has 2 sets of timed outlets insted of 1, other then that they look EXACTLY the same. I figured why risk it :)
