I have a ball of cheato in my fuge that has grown large enough not to spin anymore. I heard that you want it to rotate around in the fuge. Does it need to do that?

Rotating does have some benefits for the cheato like helping to prevent detritus buildup in the ball, and aiding in getting light equally around the ball, but it is not necessary for it to tumble.
