i hope you can get enough food into him.
I say this becuase your tank looks big w/ lots of crevices for the live food to hide. These are fantastic fish for a small(under 20 gal) species tank. They require lots of live ghost shrimp and IME do not wean over easily-althou it is do-able. They are extremely slow feeders and again do not compete w/ any other fish for food.

Thanks everyone he is pretty dang cool. I have a striated angler and after getting him I really like these type of fish (I know they aren't the same, but...). I got the angler to eat frozen, so I thoguht I may be able to get the leaf to. If not I can get shrimp, and guppies that are in really good health. She just has them in her fresh tanks and they multiply like crazy.

It is now in a 37g cube, but soon will be in a 20l with a few lbs of live rock. It will mainly be a zoanthid prop tank.

Do you think the leaf and a 1" tiny angler would be ok for awhile together?

Feeding fresh water fish to a salt water fish is bad causes health problems.

Well I would only use them for a minimal time trying to get it to start eating.

But guess what? Last night I got him to eat frozen krill off of a fishing string kinda. I think it was my fault because I may have had to much of the string hanging through the krill, but when he latched he freaked out and swam like a caught him on a hook. All I could think was that the fishing line may have gagged him or something, but still a good accomplishment. I will try again tonight, but he may be ****ed.

I bought a red angler about 4 months ago, I still haven't weened him to frozen foods! I just feed it ghost shrimp, 3 shimp 3 times a week. Heres a pic of um':

When I use fishing line, I leave less than 1/8 inch poking through when feeding live/frozen ghost shrimp. If I'm feeding chunks of frozen food, I don't poke the line all the way through. That way the food comes off the line easily.

Thanks Ugly I will try it again that way. Today I fed him a couple of ghost shrimp to suffice. I figured I may should considering it's probably been a couple weeks. He ate them right up.

I am planning on setting up a frag tank for him in one end, an angler on the other (divided) and an angler in the fuge if I can find a couple of nice ones. I love these little guys, so much attitude.

Here's my 75g fuge guard dog. Got him on frozen really easy are all easy or is that an advantage to the striated anglers?
