Ok People I just gave Alex's nano forum a test dive...it works....like alex said there are a few bugs, but dont let that stop you from using it...I would also encourage all contestants to post a thread here on RC when ever you up date your nano page to help generate trafic to it.

If you want to check out the progress on my little 3.8 gallon nano click here

Well done, you have most defiantly amazed me! looks grate, I like the external over flow.
Sorry little Conner Jason is now slotted in first. And for all you, I am not a judge or even affiliated with the great milky way galaxy build off just checking it out and having some fun.

Wait Jason does this thing actually hold water ?!?!?! You might have gone from first to worst. And also i want to know who taught you how to do that acrylic work. And should you really be giving acrylic lessons? I hope your not going Asfullax and copy pasting everything, Like Asfullax on his website. Asfullax, Dude next time you need to delete Marine Depot from your code Before you put it up there for everyone to see. That is in poor plagarism form

Yes that THING (commonly called a tank) does hold water. I started my acrylic work by talking with others who were willing to share their knowledge, then I learned by working with the plastic. I am simply returning the favor. It's called being helpful. You are welcome to post to this thread but I ask you to please keep it on topic ( you know - that THING commonly called a tank). If you have some thing to say to Alex I can offer you a free lesson on how to use the PM function on this forum.

Down Boys Down,
saw the tank , 3.8gl looking good.... as for the gluing of the acrylic i guess we will see how it works from our side soon!! great work so far keep it up!!!!

This is a lot of fun and I think everyone should go on like you said and look at everyone's work and the stages.
Again!! Looking good

we are excited just because it is pure fun.... Our world (the tiny one we live in) is so stressful with work, kids, working on masters degrees, its nice to have fun like this!!

I am the wifey and I am not all that "advanced" as most of everyone on here but I just love to look at everyone so into this contest. Its great and I hope to learn a lot more from not just my husband but people like you too!!!
thanks for sharing!!

I can't wait to see your in action. the overflow looks really cool. the quietone 1200 290gph should work awesome on that tank too. :D

BTW: I don't think I thanked you for showing the quick demonstration on acrylic work, I water tested my overflow after using your technique and it was water tight on the first try :D you saved me probably $30-$50 on this project already. Although, now all I can think about is future projects lol.

glad to help....BTW the technique was learned from some guy at a plastic supply shop...he actualy took the time to do a gluing demo much like the one I did for you guys.

Jason,

I wanted to thank you for the demo. I probably won't be able to use the knowledge on the current project, but I will definately use it in the near future. Being able to do my own plastic work will open up a lot of possibilities. Thanks for the time spent.

Allen
