Hi All
Did my first snorkel dive for the season today, 7/3, at sebastian inlet, florida. The water visibilty was very good, and the selection of fish to see amazing. I saw a least a half dozen or more french angels of varios size, numerous porkfish, highhats, damsels, school master snapper, two large morey eels, sheepshead, parrot fish, and a school of snook.
I did not see any queen angels, or butterfly fish, but that does not mean they are not there. After all I was just snorkeling in the shallows.
Get out there and enjoy.

i heard that is the shark bite capital of florida
Hi Jason
That may be so, and I'm sure they are out there, but I have been snorkel diving there in the shallows for at least 10 years and have never had a problem. Just lucky I guess, but then again I try not to do anything in the water that will attract attension. I did however, have a manatee swimm up to me on a few occasions which was quit remarkable. The last manatee swam up so close to me I could see it's eye lashes.

I'm guessing you are snorkeling inside the bait pool and not in the inlet itself?
Actually snorkel around the fish cleaning station on the south side of the inlet just before the boat launch.
