Check out this pair of snowflake Ocellaris

sorry but those items are so overpriced I nearly choked on my beer! $1,200 for a dragon wrasse?! We sell them for ~$600 here!!!

Yeah, I'm a bit concerned about this fish section in Diver's Den. LA has always had very good pricing on livestock, I hope they don't start putting fish in there that don't really belong just to have some sort of justification to charge more.

I agree, they wanted a pair of flame wrasse for $249.00 which I can get a pair locally for $130.00. Want to see over price look at the griffs angel now thats totally over priced.

you got to LA after youve bought something to make yourself feel like you got a great deal somwhere else. or that what you bought cost more than its prob. worth lol

Deltec, who has a flame wrasse pair for 130, Deep Reef?

Actually deepreef's pair would be $150.00 for a pair, a place by me called pagoda petshop has them for $130.00 when he does get them in.

Seriously.. my LFS was/is selling a Black and White Arothron puffeffishtthat looked exactly like that for $65 and they have theirs listed as $179 :O ... thats crazy... and they have Sargassum fish on there for $70 when you can get them for like $30 at the LFS... CRAZY

I think the price has to do with their 14 day guarantee. Not that many LFS do that. A store out here in Los Angeles had a pair of the snowflake clownfish for $400. I bought them, but they told me the sale was final, no returns, not guaranteed.

also, if you live in iowa , there might not be 3 lfs that are in competition to have good prices or worse yet, even have any quality livestock at all.

obviously LA is prob one of the most successful online vendors in the country. so i surmise they are prob doing something right.

I would pay the extra just for the 14 day guarantee, assuming I had that much to spend on fish that is................

1200 dollars for a fish?? Come on...seriously...who the heck buys these things? I dont care if you have all the money in the world..that is just rediculous. Even 600 is rediculous, I cant believe that.

i have :( this is my justification, if you go on a dinner date and she has wine, than thats a clownfish :) lol

of if you have the clownfish for a few years. split the cost of an exp clown and than it doesnt seem so much .

ill give you 101 for your avatar clown :) ireef :)

Not compared to LFS's in SoCal at least.

There are many areas where people don't have access to quality livestock. I think we've all had the experience of visiting a store and coming away knowing that we would never purchase a living thing there. LA is a source for quality no matter where you live.

Just wanted to be clear that I was not suggesting otherwise in any way. I have never ordered from them, but have heard only great things. I've even considered using them for some rare things, as these specimens are often snatched up (wholesale level, LFS employees, etc) before being available to someone like me at a LFS.
